How to sign up for camps and activities

Activities

We aim to maximise the activities that the scouts can undertake. Scouts need to tell us what they want to do and we’ll get it organised. Be it Mountain biking, hiking, sea kayaking or a massive LAN session. Remember the scouts set what we do!

Overall Process for non-training

We will usually send out a message to gather interest because the risk planning, budgeting and booking takes time.

We will then send out an Caremonkey/Operoo form with payment if needed to get final numbers, medical details and permission.

Scouts and training

The Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT) is an Enterprise Registered Training Organisation (No. 5443) and has its registered office at Level 1, 8 Help Street, Chatswood NSW 2067.

SAIT is registered to offer the following Australian Qualifications for Venturers and above but these can be started by scouts:

Volunteering, Employability and Leadership

• CHC24015 Certificate II in Active Volunteering

• CHC34015 Certificate III in Active Volunteering

• CHC44015 Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs

• BSB20115 Certificate II in Business

• BSB30115 Certificate III in Business

• BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

• BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management

Gang Show and Showtime

• CUA20215 Certificate II in Creative Industries

• CUA30213 Certificate III in Community Dance, Theatre and Events

Outdoor Adventurous Activities

• SIS20419 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation (Currently only youth program, Outdoor Adventure Skills)

• SIS30619 Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership (Currently only youth program, Outdoor Adventure Skills)

• SIS20213 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation

• SIS30413 Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation

• SIS40413 Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation

• SIS50310 Diploma of Outdoor Recreation

The leaders aim to have the following training opportunities during the year:

• Canoeing course

• Kayaking course

• Try Dive Scuba Course

• Abseiling

How to book training

Now booking training can be different for activities

Victorian Training Site

Go through the Victorian training and development site:

You can actually search in this and book a scout into any course: Canoe, Kayak, First Aid and Abseiling etc. Leaders regularly search courses to find interesting ones.

You need to match your registration number to your email registered with scouts. We have had issues with parents not having a registered email or it being out of date.
