We aim to develop independence and leadership in our scouts. Scouts lead the program and decide on the activities. They have the opportunity to learn various outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, kayaking and abseiling.
We meet on Tuesday nights at 7 pm till 9pm at the 2nd Blackburn scout hall.
The picture is from one of our hikes near Wonthaggi.
This is meant as an information site for Scouts and their parents. Scouts is about creating opportunities and letting the scouts devise their path. We don't do one thing, like a sport and so it gets a little complicated. The aim is to make this a one stop shop for 2nd Blackburn and will be added to over time.
This is the most important part of the new program. It is the "green book" for scouts and allows scouts to do everything. As a parent and scout, it is important that you login to Terrain and become familiar with it.
For example, you can plan your adventurous journey directly in terrain. You can plan a night to get a lead directly in Terrain. You can do your Special Interest Badge directly in Terrain.
